So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be.

I’m here. I love you. I don’t care if you need to stay up crying all night long, I will stay with you. There’s nothing you can ever do to lose my love. I will protect you until you die, and after your death I will still protect you. I am stronger than Depression and I am braver than Loneliness and nothing will ever exhaust me.
things I have learned in chemistry thus far:
when you hyperventilate, your body is getting an extreme amount of CO2, raising the concentration and screwing up the balance of oxygen, so your brain forces you to pass out so you stop taking in air.
when the kidneys fail, they can’t filter the blood, so dialysis does the job for them. the proteins and junky particles that your kidneys generally get rid of aren’t small enough to fit through the semi-permeable membrane in the process of osmosis, so they get trapped outside and can’t stay in the blood.
blood cells are stored in saline because the concentrations of the two compounds are generally equal. if they weren’t - if the cells were placed in something like water - the cells would rush into the solution to dissociate and would explode from all the pressure.
yep. that’s it. 8am classes four days a week & i’ll walk away with lil tid bits that i can apply to my career in t minus 4 years.
"Over a sketch made idly to amuse a child, an arist may not take much trouble; he may be content to let it go even though it is not exactly as he meant it to be. But over the great picture of his life - the work which he loves, though in a different fashion, as intensely as a man love a woman or a mother a child - he will take endless trouble - and would, doubtless, thereby give endless trouble to the picture if it were sentient. One can imagine a sentient picture, after being rubbed and scraped and recommenced for the tenth time, wishing that it were only a thumbnail sketch whose making was over in a minute. In the same way, it is natural for us to wish that God had designed for us a less glorious and less arduous destiny; but then we are wishing not for more love but for less.”
-C. S. Lewis
